February doesn't have to be dull. In fact, this February has been rather exciting at Chelsea Doll, not only have we jazzed up our website and set up various giveaways, we've also just received some rather fabulous jewellery pieces from Ji Ji Kiki, the vintage, retro and kitsch jewellery designer. The collection is perfect for S/S10 and every piece within it is a talking point, a real treat to wear! Our faves are the Bambi Woodland Necklace a beautiful pendant featuring Bambi in a woodland scene decorated with a lilac faux pearl and black satin ribbon bow; the Black Polka Dot Bow Ring featuring a cute, kitsch black polka dot bow; My Fair Lady Masquerade Necklace an unusual pendant of a masquerade mask decorated with two tiny pearls; and Cupcake Stud Earrings sweet plastic cupcakes with a velvet finish and red glitter cherries. Ji Ji Kiki is always a firm favourite with you Chelsea Doll luvvies and this collection is the best yet!

Chelsea Doll Gets a Makeover!

We've got a brand, spanking new website to delight you with. Yes, Chelsea Doll has been revamped and improved and it's looking sensational (even if we do say so ourselves!). Our homepage showcases more of our delicious pieces and gets you where you want to go much quicker. We've added info links to the bottom of the page as well as along the top and the Shopping Bag is more prominent so you know exactly how much you're spending! We can't stop looking at the visual feast that is the new Chelsea Doll, but we may be (slightly) biased, so we'd love to know what you guys think of it. There's only one way to celebrate Valentine's Day and that's to do it with Chelsea Doll and a mega giveaway competition. Yep we treated our lovely fans and followers on Facebook and Twitter to a Valentine's surprise, to win some fabulous Chelsea Doll pieces. Wonderful New Spring Ranges

So it's SS10 and we all want to be on-trend, right? Well look no further than Chelsea Doll's fantastic new ranges, Tribal Time and Metallic Dream. Bursting with inspirational fashion jewellery including kitsch jewellery, cute jewellery, unusual jewellery and of course a fair share of quirkiness, the ranges have been put together to ensure our gorgeous customers are up to date in the fashion stakes! The Tribal Time range is home to bright colours, ethnic patterns and all-round funkiness, perfect for Summer nights, they were born to be teamed with maxi dresses. The Metallic Dream range is a dream in itself, full of cool metal pieces ready for edgy days or hot nights out. Purple Rain - New Range!

We're just a little bit in love with purple at the moment. Actually, words cannot describe how much we adore the colour, we're totally smitten!! So, due to our over-excitement at having lots of purple in our jewellery, we've put together a new range called Purple Rain (great name, eh?). This will make getting that hint of purple in your lives soooo much easier! Our fave from Purple Rain, hmmm that's a toughie, it's got to be the Purple Tortoise Shell Ring, a-mazing!

We're in such an excitable mood here at Chelsea Doll after our first ever Twitter giveaway! Up for grabs was a £30 Chelsea Doll goodie bag, full of, that's right, fabulous goodies! Our AW 09 collection is now live… absolutely gorgeous pieces adorn the site along with fresh collections and inspirations to revive even the most fatigued accessory closet.

New collections include Parisian Style which features ever-chic pearls, vintage-style cameo necklaces and black bow decorations. 1980’s Doll celebrates the decade’s best fashion movements. Lots of bright colours (naturally, this is the 80s after all!) but also the more forgotten styles such as our fabulously gaudy metal chain detail necklace.
The Vintage-Inspired collection has been updated to include designs from previous decades from the 1950s to 1970s and charming antique gold pieces. The boutique has also attracted its fair share of funky, kitsch pieces from designer Ji Ji Kiki including Poodle Rockin’ earrings, a Rubik Cube necklace and a bright pink Kitty necklace!

Fun Storage Ideas for your Jewellery!

The more the merrier! When it comes to jewellery there’s never enough, so many gorgeous pieces acquired yet such a storage issue! What to do, what to do, well here’s some tips for innovative storage ideas:

* Use a cork board with pins to hang your necklaces
* Place tackpins on the back of your wardrobe doors to hang your necklaces and earrings
* Use a pretty kitchen or toilet paper holder to store your chunky bangles
* Buy a mug tree (mug storage for kitchens) to keep your bangles safe and also create a bright focal point for your bedroom!
* Get a tool storage box with lots of compartments (usually to store nails etc), this should store all your jewellery
* For a baroque feel, get a large candelabra and hang your necklaces and earrings from it, would create a gorgeous effect!
* Get a storage drawer cart (preferably on wheels) with lots of drawers to store chunky jewellery
* For a quirky effect hang your big-drop, chandelier style earrings from the rim of a large Martini glass

Caring for your Fashion Jewellery

Treat your fashion jewellery with the love it deserves! Here’s a few tips to help you care for your fashion jewellery:

* Avoid hairspray and perfume when wearing your jewellery, put it on afterwards.
* Do not wear your fashion jewellery in a swimming pool or hot tub.
* Refrain from wearing fashion jewellery whilst doing housework, DIY or any other strenuous activity.
* If possible, after wearing your fashion jewellery, wipe over with a damp cloth.
* Store your fashion jewellery in a safe place, out of direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, from scratches and away from dust.
* Store your fashion jewellery separately so that it does not scratch or tangle with other jewellery.
* Most importantly, wear your fashion jewellery as often as you can!
